I’ve given up on the debt ceiling, raise it to the moon

I give up. Raise the debt ceiling to the moon. If I can quote Hillary Clinton, “what difference at this point does it make?” While I say that a bit tongue in check, at the same time I mean it. All the Republican candidates are against the debt deal we were screwed with from former speaker of the house John Boehner. The system we have needs debt to work. We will talk about that in another post. Here is the reality of the debt ceiling. AT this point it really doesn’t matter. We are 18,000,000,000,000 dollars in debt. That is just our funded liabilities. Estimates for our unfunded liabilities are anywhere from 80 to 120 Trillion dollars. Those numbers are so big we can’t even comprehend what they mean. There is no way we will ever pay it off. Especially with the system we have now which as I said we will talk about more later. They are just numbers now. Meaningless. The bubble is going to pop. We cannot stop it. Republicans say they can but they can’t. So again, what difference at this point does it make? Answer, none. So here is my thinking. This isn’t just an American problem. The entire western world and most of the east has inflated their money supply so much in the last 50 years we are all going down together. Honestly the only ones who haven’t is the middle east. And maybe parts of Africa. The poorest countries in the world are poor because their government didn’t inflate their money supply. Or have the freedom to increase it’s wealth. Which for the record, wealth and money are two different things. 3/4 of the world is fucked. Plain and simple. It is going to happen. Once it starts it will domino the rest of the world. The only question is, where is it going to start. We don’t raise our debt ceiling it starts here. So I say fuck it, raise it and let it start somewhere else. Most likely China. Russia would be fine too. Now one can make a good argument that no matter where it starts America is going to get much of the blame anyway but it would be much better for us if it didn’t start here. It really doesn’t make any difference at this point.
